per ISTA 1 and ISTA 2. ISTA testing is a well defined ship testing procedure designed to verify that your packaging is sufficient to protect your product during all shipping environments.

ISTA Pre-Conditioning:
For ISTA 2A and above ISTA requires pre conditioning at ambient and at least one of the following conditions. However ISTA recommends testing to atleast two of the conditions, the expected extreme high and low of the package being tested
- Extreme Cold, Uncontrolled RH: -29 C, 72 hrs
- Cold, Humid: 5C 85%RH, 72 hrs
- Controlled Conditions: 23C 50%RH, 72 hrs
- Hot, Humid: 38C 85%RH, 72 hrs
- Hot, Humid then Extreme Heat, Moderate RH: 38C 85%RH, 72 hrs, 60C 30%Rh, 6hrs
- Elevated Temperature, Uncontrolled RH: 50C, 72 hrs
- Extreme Heat, Dry: 60C 15%RH, 72 hrs
- Severe Cold, Uncontrolled RH: -18C, 72 hrs
